Session 3 Recap – TechTrack Finalists

🚀 TechTrack Session 3 wrapped up last week, marking the final gathering before the big pitching event at Tallinn Music Week! This session was all about refining prototypes, perfecting pitches, and selecting the top teams who will move forward to showcase their ideas on a bigger stage.

Keynote: Navigating the Funding Journey in MusicTech

We kicked off the day with a valuable keynote from Xavier Peters, CEO at LeanSquare, on “Unlocking Growth: Navigating the Funding Journey for MusicTech Scale-Ups.” His session provided essential insights on funding strategies, scaling pathways, and investment readiness—critical knowledge for teams looking to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses.

Xavier broke down the complex funding landscape, offering strategies to help entrepreneurs secure investment, understand investor expectations, and position their MusicTech ventures for success. The Q&A that followed sparked some great discussions, helping teams think strategically about their next steps.

Honing the Pitch: Learning How to Deliver a Winning Story

After the keynote, teams received a structured breakdown of how to pitch effectively, by our event host Rannar Park, covering:

  • The essential structure of a compelling pitch
  • What investors and industry experts look for
  • How to tell a story that captures attention and conveys impact

This session set the stage for teams to polish their pitches before the mentor-led feedback rounds began.

Hackathon Mentors: Expert Guidance from Industry Leaders

All the workshop sessions were powered by an incredible lineup of experienced hackathon and music industry mentors who worked closely with teams, helping them refine their prototypes and pitches:

  • Kalev Rundu – Senior Product Manager at BOB W
  • Kristjan Jansen – UX Designer, Developer, and Educator

  • Gloria Paul – UX at Pipedrive
  • Tanel Maandi – Managing Director, Tech Research at Black Cat White Cat Music
